After a very successful spirit week, the Wilton High School Football team came away with a huge 45-14 win over Stamford High School. With the student section packed with students wearing all white and cheering on the Warriors, their was a special energy for the 50th Wilton High School homecoming at Veteran’s Memorial Stadium. Wilton began the game with a 14-0 lead in the first quarter, and continued to trample Stamford into halftime with a 28-0 lead. While the Warriors were in the locker room for halftime, the candidates for Homecoming King and Queen were announced and led onto the field. The school also announced the winners, for Homecoming King Joel Darkwa won and for Homecoming Queen Kennedy Snyder. Although a lot of the crowd didn’t stay to watch the blowout victory, the energy during Spirit Week and during the first half of the game showed everyone what a united Wilton looks like.
