Fall is starting, so pull out your sweaters and mark your calendars for days full of changing leaves and lots of pumpkins. There are lots of fall actives around Wilton that are perfect to kick off the feeling of fall. First, there’s the classic New Canaan Fair that takes place on October 14th. At this fair there are haystack mazes, zip lines, apple slingshots, pumpkin decorating and much more. Another perfect activity is the Glastonbury Applefest, which takes place from October 13th to 15th. Even though this event is a longer drive it is definitely worth attending. This event has everything from live music, to pie eating contests, to fireworks, to amusement rides. Rated one of the best events in Connecticut every year, this is definitely something not to miss. Another noteworthy activity is the 49th Annual Southington Apple Fest, this two week event starts on September 29th and ends on October 8. They offer everything from a wide variety of foods, contests, carnival rides, fireworks, to their annual parade. One vender they have at the Harvest fest is an apple fritter booth which is perfect for getting your autumn indulgences. Any of these fall activities would be the perfect addition to any cool relaxing autumn weekend. Make sure to check them out today and attend while the fall season is still around.
